SUMMARY
Brii Biosciences is seeking a highly motivated and experienced bioanalytical expert to join our dynamic R&D team. This role will serve as the BA subject matter expert across
Brii’s portfolio, supporting programs from early discovery through clinical development. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and sample processing experience in various biological matrices including but not limited to plasma, urine, tissues etc. across all relevant preclinical species. The successful candidate will have practical experience working in CRO or biotech/pharmaceutical industry environment with a proven track record for design, execution, assay development and troubleshooting of in vitro and in vivo bioanalytical studies in the context of drug candidate progression. This role involves working as part of a global multi-disciplinary research and development team to profile, characterize and ensure a detailed understanding of the bioanalytical properties of various program assets. This person will work closely with the pharmacology & toxicology teams to ensure the correct studies and interpretation of data are made. The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, execute, analyze, and interpret early discovery bioanalytical studies involving test articles in various biological matrices from different species to support SAR, lead optimization and candidate selection
- Participate in the design and execution of DMPK and TK studies for discovery through IND-enabling programs as well as providing subject matter expertise to support and enable IND submissions
- Design, optimization and execution of analytical method development in house as well as oversight of similar external CRO technical activities
- Responsible for communication and management of outsourced CROs, as well as bioanalytical method development, qualification or validation, and sample analysis to ensure data accuracy and reliability, timelines, and compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with CMC, preclinical and clinical development teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- A master’s degree in pharmacology, chemistry or a related field with more than 3 years of hands-on experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with more than 8 years of experience
- Proven experience of independent designing, execution and assay development and troubleshooting in bioanalytical studies
- A good understanding of standard DMPK workflows and strong analytical skills for biological samples.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive multiple tasks in parallel
- Experience supporting candidate selection, exploratory toxicology, or IND-enabling studies is preferred
- Good teamwork and cross-functional communication skills
- Prior experience with RNAi therapeutics is a plus; familiarity with delivery systems including drug conjugates, lipid nanoparticles and their impact on biodistribution and exposure is preferred
- Good English proficiency, with the ability to read scientific literature and communicate effectively in daily work
